Llamale H in September
If there were any doubts about our interest in being a diverse film festival, we are glad to announce that many countries will be part of our programming.
Spain, Brazil,
Germany, Canada, Republic of Taiwan, Japan, The United States, Argentina
and France will be represented in the second edition of Llamale H, Uruguay
International Film Festival about Sexual and Gender Diversity.
Our sections will include
short films, documentaries and feature-length films which present the cultural
and aesthetic diversity of materials we want to share with you.
We are also proud to present the section Uruguay Diverse Short Films, which includes varied Uruguayan short films we consider especially interesting to our public.
Other important cultural activities are confirmed in September:
Monday 8 at 20:00 / 100 years of queer cinema
Manuela Kay (Germany) presents her book in the Goethe Institute of Montevideo.
Tuesday 9 at 18:30 / Sexual Diversity and Education
Authorities and specialists in education will present their perspective in the Uruguay National Library.
Thursday 11 at 19:30 / Cinema and Sexual Diversity. A dialogue between cultures.
This Forum generates a dialogue about the sexual diversity and cinema production in different countries. With Raúl R. González (Spain), Suzy Capó (Brazil), Manuela Kay (Germany), Anne Fryszman (France). The forum will take place in the Spain Centre of the Culture.
We will keep in contact with all of you though this website and our e-mail addresses. We hope you can visit Montevideo for the second edition of LLAMALE H that goes from 5th to 11th of September and also in the Florencio Sánchez Centre of the Culture and in other cities of Uruguay as Salto, Rivera and Melo.
